Wear School Uniform on 3rd Feb 2012

Dear Parents,

Photo-taking session for School Smart Card (SSC) is scheduled on 3 Feb 2012(Friday). Pupils must be in school uniform (no PE attire) on Friday. For your info,P1 pupils will get their SSC (ezlink card) by end March 2012.

CNY Celebration

Thanks to the parents who kindly sponsored Yu Sheng for all the P1-6 classes in the school :) 

The children had fun tossing Yu Sheng with their friends :)

This is a vegetarian Yu Sheng (without raw fish). 

Peanuts is not given in the Yu Sheng pack too.

Due to space constraint, the girls tossed the Yu Sheng first, followed by the boys.

Lunar New Year Celebrations 27th January 2012

Dear Parents,

This is a gentle reminder. We will be celebrating Chinese Lunar New Year this Friday. (You can refer to the pink letter given some time ago.)

Date: 27th January 2012 Friday
School Hours: 7.20am to 12.50pm (Pupils will report to MPH at 7.10am.)
Attire: Chinese traditional costumes/ PE attire

There is no lesson that day.

Do bring the following on Friday.
1)A pair of chopsticks for tossing of Yu Sheng (and they will bring the chopsticks home after using them.)
2)Plastic bowl / plate
3)Old newspapers
4)Wet tissue
5)Dry tissue
6)School journal
7)Pencil case

I am collecting from the pupils their contribution towards the school's Needy Pupil Fund. They are to place their contribution in a red packet. Do encourage your child to share their goodwill through the donation if they have not done so. Thank you.

撮汤圆

Children were listening attentively to the teacher explaining the significance of eating  汤圆 and the steps to prepare 汤圆.

 The children had lots of fun trying the hands-on activity.

Rest assured all children washed their hands prior to the activity :)

A visit to the school library :)

Orientation briefing at the library. Children who answered the questions correctly during the Q&A session received a bookmark.

There are twenty odd titles of magazines (EL and CL) in the library. We have Adventure Box, Story Box, Discovery Box etc for the younger children as well as Readers' Digest, National Geographic Kids, Singapore Scientist etc for the older children. 

 Many children queueing up to borrow books from the school library. Hope they will come to the library often to read and borrow books :)
